At Mama Kisses we focus on sourcing products that are made of natural materials, especially those that in direct contact with a baby’s skin. Using natural materials like cotton and bamboo in our product range means they are soft and breathable.
Why Breathable? Well no one likes a sweaty baby! And more importantly at a young age babies are unable to regulate their temperature, so it's very important that you use breathable material for wraps, swaddles, blankets, bedding, etc.
What happens when the weather changes though? Well it's a good idea to have a couple of muslin wraps for hotter weather and knitted blankets for cooler weather, so you can double up or take layers off to adjust to the temperature for your little one.

If you are a new parent or parent to be, you must be thinking 'what is swaddling?', 'what is a muslin?' and 'how do I swaddle?'.
Swaddling is a commonly known method of wrapping your baby in a specific way to mimic what it would have felt in the womb.
Swaddling can help to comfort babies that are unsettled as it recreates a sense of security for them. Try and imagine how tightly squished your baby was in the womb for 9 months before coming into the world. By swaddling it recreates a safe and snug place for your baby.
A muslin is a plain loosely woven cotton fabric and a common choice for a swaddle. It is sometimes called a muslin wrap or muslin swaddle. It is soft to touch and importantly, it is breathable. When used as a swaddle, muslin wrap is gauze-like and ultra-lightweight and usually consists of 1 layer. You may see in some of our product descriptions a reference to 2 or more muslin layers which means the more layers the thinker the product. Multi-layered muslin blankets or towels are fluffy and soft.

Let's face it returns can be a bit of a nuisance. You've order something, and now you've got to send it back. Well we want to make this as seamless as possible so simply send us an email with your order number, date of purchase, and full name, photos and description of item to arrange a replacement or refund.

We offer Australia wide standard shipping for FREE on all orders over $50 (excluding shipping costs). For orders under this amount the shipping fee is a flat rate of $8.95.
We are working to have orders processed and shipped as quickly as possible however, there are some delays due to COVID-19 and the increased demand for shipping services. Here is more information from Australia Post about parcel service impacts.
This will not affect all orders, however we currently recommend allowing more time than usual for your delivery. We thank you for your patience.
Orders will be processed within 1-3 business days. However, during busy sales periods there may be some delays so please allow some extra shipping time during these periods.
We've sourced our beautiful product range from numerous suppliers locally and globally, so delivery within the Australia's metro area is estimated to take 2 - 6 business days after order is processed. For rural/remote areas, it is estimated that it will take 6 - 9 business days after the order is processed.
If your order has more than 1 item the items may come from different suppliers so you may receive multiple deliveries for your order. Please note that delays can sometimes occur outside of our control....we do wish we could snap our fingers and have them in your hand!
We currently only ship to residential and business addresses within Australia. However, we are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes, Parcel Lockers, Locked Bags and some remote locations such as Norfolk Island, Christmas Island, Thursday Island and other remote locations.
If you like one of our products and live outside of Australia please get in contact and we can see if we can arrange a special delivery for you.
